Annabelle’s Home!

Asleep in her bouncy seat

After getting a clean bill of health for mommy and baby, Chrissy and I brought Annabelle home on Wednesday. It was really a great feeling to be able to actually bring her home.

Annabelle has been doing great – she actually slept some last night (for about 3 hours, and then for about 2.5 hours), so Chrissy and I also got a little bit of sleep. She had her first doctor’s appointment yesterday, which also went really well.

I’ve also been snapping some pictures of her around the house, and I updated the hospital gallery to include her going home pictures, and added a new gallery of some pictures of her around the house.

Welcome to Annabelle Katherine Foy!

Bathed, dressed, and ready to meet the world

Well, she’s finally here! Yesterday (June 13th), Chrissy and I went in for a checkup to see if our doctor would let us postpone the induction until Friday to give Annabelle more time to come out on her own. After checking Chrissy, Dr. Morse decided that it would be best if we were induced right then and there.

So, at 8am, they moved us to Labor and Delivery, and we started the long road. Only 18 hours later, little Annabelle Katherine was in our arms weighing 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring at 20.5 inches.

I’ve put up some pictures from last night and today in the gallery, so if you want to see those, just click here.

Chrissy and I will be at the hospital until probably tomorrow night. The hopefully we’ll get to head home. But Mom and Annabelle are doing wonderful, if not bleary eyed from going on 31 hours of practically no sleep.

Thanks for everyone’s prayers!

Trip to Rocheport

dsc_0041_sm.jpg

Well, in an effort to stay busy while we wait for the baby to come, Cory and I decided to take my mom on a little trip to Rocheport. It’s only about 15 minutes away, but it was a nice diversion for the day. We first stopped for lunch at the Les Bourgeois Blufftop Bistro. It was such a pretty view and the food was quite good. After lunch we headed into town and drove around for a bit before stopping in at a little antiques shop, Whitehorse Antiques. Nice antiques, but somewhat pricey. They had a great store dog who was super friendly and Cory played a quick game of fetch with her. Fun stuff! All in all, it was a nice trip, and we all enjoyed getting out for a little while.

Nothing Going On

Well, today was supposed to be “the” day. I think it’s pretty safe to say that the baby is not going to come on time. We’ll have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow morning and they’ll monitor the baby for about an hour to make sure everything’s still ok in there. I’m sure she’s fine…she moves around all the time. I feel pretty much the same as usual. No contractions. No nesting. I have no idea when she plans on coming out, but I know she’ll come when she’s ready! Thanks for checking in – we’ll be sure to post if anything changes.

“Conditions are Favorable”

39 Weeks! Almost here!

I just got back from my 39 week appointment…Still hanging out at a centimeter, but the doc said it is a “loose” centimeter, my cervix is soft, and I am about 75% effaced! Definitely good news! She has an induction date scheduled for about a week after my due date, but I’m hoping it won’t come to that. Please send some baby-out vibes my way if you get a chance! This has been a relatively easy pregnancy, and I still feel great, but I’m ready to meet the little one. Here is the latest belly pic.

In other news, Cory and I have tentatively chosen a name, but due to our tendency to change our mind, we will not be announcing it until it is official. Thanks to all of those who offered suggestions. There were some good ones!
